Resume a Membership

Learn how you and your members can resume their membership.

Once a membership has been paused, it will have an automatic resume date set. If you would like to resume the membership before this date, see the instructions below.

Resume a paused membership in the staff portal

Staff can resume a membership early on behalf of a member by following these steps:

  1. Go to the member's profile (e.g. by searching for them)

  2. Select the Membership tab

  3. For the currently active membership, select Resume.

  4. Gymflow will calculate fees owed (if any), you can choose to either Waive or Charge these fees.

Resume a paused membership in the member's app

If it's been enabled for your club, members can also resume memberships early in the Gymflow Members App.

A member can resume their membership in the Gymflow Members app by following these steps:

  1. Sign in to the Gymflow Members app

  2. On the home screen, look for an alert at the top prompting and select Resume Membership

  3. Choose Pay to pay the difference to resume your membership early (if there is charge)

Understand how resume charges are calculated

When you resume a membership early, there may be a charge that the member needs to pay to cover the additional days of gym access.

Gymflow automatically calculates these charges based on the unused gym days already paid for and the number of days till the next billing day.

For example, if a monthly membership is paused halfway through the month, the member has used 15 days and has 15 unused days they already paid for. If the membership is resumed early, Gymflow calculates the days between the new resume date and the next billing date, deducts the 15 unused days, and charges for any remaining days.

Find paused & resuming memberships

There are 3 reports that give you more insight into memberships that are paused or resuming:

  • Memberships Pausing: List of all subscriptions that are pausing within the specified date period.

  • Memberships Resuming: List of all subscriptions that are resuming within the specified date period.

  • Paused Memberships: List of all memberships in a paused status. Does not include memberships that are scheduled to be paused.

To find these reports, head to Reports > Memberships, find the relevant report and select View Report. You can select any of the members' names within these reports to go to their profile.
