An automation builder that allows staff to create automation actions based of triggers in Gymflows.

This would primarily extend to automating emails and SMS to manage lead, member and customer journeys as well as automating repetitive tasks.

This would enable custom journeys and notifications to be sent e.g

  • Send an SMS on a members birthday

  • Send a purchase link when a membership expires


Potential Triggers

  • User visits (less than X in X period)

  • Credit Pack Expiring (X time before expiry)

  • First Class Booking (X time after class start date)

  • Subscription Status Change

  • Lead Status Change

  • Membership Purchased

  • Credit Pack Purchased

  • No Class Bookings

  • Member’s birthday


Filters (to filter out when to take action):

  • Credit Pack Name

  • Membership Name

  • Membership Status

  • Lead Status

Potential Actions:

  • Send Email

  • Send SMS

  • Send Push Notification

  • Create Task

  • Add Note

  • Top up user wallet (e.g automatically top up a user’s wallet when it’s their birthday)

    The automations feature currently available is great.. however, it would be even better if we could create our own. For example: attendance drop off messages, member milestones (e.g 100th visit), win-back messaging for ex-members, offer codes for leads who haven’t joined after ‘X’ days, birthday messages for members, links to feedback surveys after the first month, first-week check-ins, etc etc

      Hi Alexa, it’s a big feature big so currently still in planning and wont have more updates until it’s officially been scheduled to start. It’s a minimum 3 month build time.

      We are slowing working on other features that would be required to support this feature in the background e.g push notifications, SMS and when we have added them all we will progress with this.

    I don’t know which scenarios you’re planning to add, but these 2 would be valuable to us:

    - When someone hasn’t been coming for an X amount of time (where you can configure X) send a message and a discount code.
    - X amount of time before someone’s credit pack is about to expire, send them a reminder.
    - X amount of time after a users’ first attendance

    We’d be keen to automate credit pack deductions in certain scenarios, specifically we’d like to allow users to check in without a membership but with a credit pack. For us it would be great to have the ability to:

    Trigger when a user checks in
    Segment / filter automations based on the user’s membership (or lack of)
    Programmatically change the number of credits in someone’s account

    member retention strategies are essential - this one would be well up there as GF does lack retention capabilities atm
