This is an essential feature. Our previous system would bank a personal training session if there was valid reason for a member to miss their usual timeslot (travel/sickness/injured/trainer unavailable etc). This ‘banked session’ could be used in the future - we’d refer to as a ‘make-up’ session. The cost of personal training sessions is quite a significant amount of money to ‘throw away’ if you can’t find a mutual time on the same day for your session.
Which brings me to my next point. There are occasions where members ‘reschedule’ to a different day that week but there are real cases where they book 2 days later which falls on their next billing cycle and the credit is taken from that billing cycle rather than the previous. This not only means staff need to manually add credits which takes time away from other duties but it places significant mental load on trainers to keep track of the comings and goings of every single client and know their billing cycle which is an unrealistic expectation. This is further complicated when clients see different trainers for their sessions, again, it’s unrealistic to expect trainers to keep tabs and communicate with other trainers on every single client’s membership entitlements. We have some clients paying for 3 sessions per week and seeing 2 different trainers, a system that can take stock of what has been paid for and used vs paid for and still to use is absolutely essential.

this is a vital and absolutely necessary feature that would allow recurring billing for classes/training without the customer losing their credits if they happen to get sick/travel - almost every club in existence operated this way with automatic montly billing for sessions

Another way to do this would be to hold separate balances for each billing period and to count a credit as "spent" on the day the class takes place, not the day the class is booked.
For example, if a user has two credits each week, a staff member could book them in this week for a class that happened last week and the credits would be deducted from last week's total, not the current week.

One of the main benefits of this approach would be that users don't have to be booked into their classes within the same billing period as their membership. So a staff member could book a user on a weekly membership into classes that happened last week and this week without them running out of credits.
