Really excited about these updates especially the automation that links to visits as this would be so helpful to people who may have signed up but not actually come into the gym yet!

How close to the class beginning should the email be sent? 1 hour?

Yes but ideally it should be customisable. I assume users will be able to choose their preferred communication channel, such as email, SMS, or in-app notifications, once these options are available.
It would be great if users were prompted to add the class to their calendar after booking it in the app. I believe this has already been logged as a separate request, but it relates to the same use case: reminding users about their upcoming classes.

I’m really excited about these updates. Appointment reminders are especially useful about 24 hrs before start time; if not 24 hrs, potentially at a predetermined time the day before the appointment.

It would also be really useful to have permission controls around who can access and send SMS and Push Notifications. We’ve had instances of staff or independent trainers sending messages to members that aren’t on brand, so ideally access to these communication channels could be restricted to specific staff roles or permissions. This would help prevent accidental or unauthorised messages being sent to the users.

Would be awesome to get the option to create separate email notifications for different classes / appointments / memberships so you can tailor the information provided in the confirmation email depending on the exact thing they booked.
Also, it would be great if we could get a marketing report which shows how many people are subscribed, unsubscribed and to what platform.

Hi @Cassie Kennedy thats for the feedback, the customised email/notifications per service will actually be exactly what the Automations Builder will do, giving your freedom to build your own triggers and actions as you like to suit your club.
Just in case you weren’t aware currently if you go to the user list you can filter it by Email & SMS opt in and get your opt in counts per channel.
We need to add filters for push notification opts in’s but do let me know if this is sufficient or if you think a dedicated report will be better.
We are in the final stages of finishing designs and research for the Gymflow Marketing Hub which will become the centre for campaigns, communication and campaign reporting as well.
Kind regards,
