Self Service Membership Management

Allow members to cancel, upgrade or downgrade their subscription from the members app or customer portal.

If you would like members to manage their membership to save time you can enable self-service membership cancellations and upgrades/downgrades in the Members App.

To turn on In-App Cancellations/Upgrades/Downgrades

  1. Head to Settings > Rules

  2. Head to the Members Tab

  3. Toggle on the options you would like to enable

  4. Set how much notice you would like members to give and press "Save"

All cancellations and upgrades/downgrades are processed at the end of the billing period to ensure that no refunds are required.

Understand Notice Periods

"No Notice Period" will allow members to either cancel or change their membership at the end of their current billing period, 1 notice period or more will mean they will only be able to select the end of the following billing period and so on, this means they will have additional payments before their cancellation or change.


We confirm with the member when their last payment will be and when they will still be able to use their membership until they cancel/change it.

Memberships that have a contract term cannot be cancelled until after their contract term finishes.

Email Confirmation of Cancellation

Optionally if you have membership cancellation automations turned on they will also get an email confirmation when they schedule their cancellation as well as when it cancels.
