Switching to PDK is easy and has a low impact on your existing members. Once you have installed your hardware you can be up and running in 10-15 minutes.
Step 1: Order & Install PDK Hardware
PDK work through local dealers who will supply, install and configure your hardware and software for you. This makes the process extremely easy as it gives you a certified partner for installation.
We have local dealers in United States, United Kingdom and Australia ready to provide quotes and install your system. Reach out to support@gymflow.io and our team will refer you to your closest dealer.
Your dealer will install the PDK hardware, replacing the Kisi Reader and Kisi Controller. Your existing lock hardware is compatible and will be re-used in the new system.
Step 2: Disabled Your Kisi Integration
On the date of your PDK Hardware installation you will need to disable your Kisi integration. This is an important step as two access systems cannot operate at the same time. Let our support team know via the chat or support@gymflow.io when you want your Kisi integration to be disabled - this must be completed before enabling PDK.
Step 3: Enable PDK Integration
Follow our easy guide to Integrate with PDK. This should take no more than 5 minutes to complete.
Step 4: Select Your Access Groups
Relate your new access groups to your existing memberships. This is a simple process and should only take a few minutes - you can follow these guides to help you:
Step 5: Set Your Geo Fence Restriction
To ensure members canβt open doors from any location other than your Gym please add your clubs GPS co-ordinates to Gymflow using this guide.
Step 6: Members Sync & Test
Once completed, members can immediately visit the βAccessβ menu of the members app and start opening doors again.
They will not need to grant permission via the app again as they have already granted it
They will need to favorite their door to the home screen again if they want.
Gymflow will also sync all users and access in the background with PDK.
Important Differences: PDK works differently to Kisi - with PDK the user must open the door via the app and cannot tap their phone on the reader to open the door.
This is an intentional change that we have made as it requires less permissions from the user, is more likely to be set-up correctly by the user and makes opening doors bulletproof.
We believe this will improve your members experience, as they will not need to worry about bluetooth and location permissions being set incorrectly/disabled to access the club.
