Every user's membership is automatically assigned a status. These statuses are an easy way to understand the state of a user or all user's memberships. Read on to find out what each status means:

  • Active: Membership is fully paid up and the user has access to the gym.

  • Overdue: Membership has outstanding overdue payments and the user does not have access to the gym. Membership can be cancelled or the payment can be collected or waived.

  • Pending: Membership has not yet started and is scheduled to start at a future date. It is possible to change the start date for the membership or cancel it.

  • Paused: Membership is currently paused, excluded from billing and scheduled to resume again at a future date. The membership has to be resumed before other actions can be taken (such as cancelling it).

  • Cancelled: Membership has been cancelled in the past and the user no longer has access to the gym. No actions are possible for a cancelled membership.

  • Expired: Pre-paid membership that has past its expiry date. No actions are possible for an expired pre-paid membership.

Only active members are included in membership billing and have the right to access the gym and book events (if they have sufficient session packs). All other statuses have limited physical access to the gym and are unable to book events.

You can see a breakdown of how many members you have in each status by navigating to Reports > Members in Gymflow.
